I’m Craig, I work as an IT Manager for a small company in the North West of England, every day is a struggle having to go through the torture of using a Windows computer, and deal with the users who are overly attached to these machines with the obstructive and resource hungry operating system.
In the downtime away from the office, I’m a 95% Apple based user, the other 4% is Linux. Following a path of ‘Apple only’ leads to a knack for seeking out the best app’s, products and hacks to function without the need for Windows.
I will confess I do own a Microsoft Laptop (notice how the maths didn’t add up) this is used to plug in my MK3 Golf and diagnose issues, clear fault codes using VCDS and OBD Doctor, but I may have found a solution which leaves this device redundant soon.
I’ve got a lot of ideas for the site, but first I want to cover the expansion of HomeKit in the Apple range and the amazing free product of Homebridge which brings devices outside of the Apple HomeKit ecosystem in.
As I cover apps and hacks to get a smart home working for me I’ll take you on the journey via my blog page.
I love to keep up to date with the latest technologies and advancements so I may sneak a couple of posts in about apps or products which integrate or enhance the ecosystem.
