Snapdrop

To use Snapdrop, direct your browser of choice to https://www.snapdrop.net on the sending device, and also on the receiving device.

On both devices you’ll see the other pop up, with its snapdrop local known as name underneath, making it very easy to identify.

The best thing about is it works on all platforms as long as there is a internet browser available, from Android to iOS or Windows directly to MacOS. The only limitations are the device needs to be on a stable WiFi network, and I’ve seen flakiness when devices are piggy backing off internet connections or sharing a hotspot.
